I am a slave to poetry. br br I do not wish to be set free br a willing prisoner happily. br br Constrained by strict parameters. br Which form the rules for formal verse, br to discipline I’m not averse. br br Though modernists all claim to be br Poets. I find I can’t agree. br Their work has small appeal for me. br I can’t commit to memory br br One single piece of free form verse. br In my opinion even worse br they are deliberately perverse. br br Delighting in obscurity br contemptuous of clarity. br br Yet still they claim it’s poetry. br br 9-Oct-07br br ivor or ivor.
