Janri Gogeshvili - * LIFE WAS DOZING, THE LADY-BIRD FLEW OVER THE VERGE OF THE DEATH

The world was dozing, br It was tired and worn. br “Man is supported by man, br A fence – by blackthorn! ” br That precept was well-known, br But entirely forgotten…alas! br The death, too, slumbered, br The day was colorless… br br The guys remaining chums br By chance, br Had washed away all their talent br And all their heavenly donation, br Women and girls scattered in the streets br Were seized by the shameful passion. br br Men wanted to whitewash themselves in solitude, br They craved for solitude, for isolation. br The current – slow, calm, but yet naughty, br Suppressed them… they were tied to the life, br They were tied by the bonds of obligation. br br The world was taken ill with despair, br Roar was heard, all was alarmed, br Life was dozing… slumbered the world, br Over the verge of the death br Flew the ladybird. br br Hope twinkled on that path, br Cosmic mists brought relief… br And the fables of the Doomsday br Were woven there – br Fate, Future, and Belief.
