ANDREW BLAKEMORE - Across The Field

ANDREW BLAKEMORE - Across The Field

Across the field I once did stare br Towards the woodland that was there br I felt the cold of autumn air br And saw leaves upon the ground. br br The early morning was so still br As sunlight rose above the hill br And began to warm the morning chill br But it couldn't warm my heart. br br The sky was of the deepest blue br The frost was melting into dew br And I remember clearly too br Just how I felt that day. br br But now that day has long since gone br With my chance to be someone br I wish for once that luck had shone br On me and brought me love.
