Genius is a word often attributed to undeserving albeit brilliant people br But the word should be reserved for those who are insane br For they are the smartest amongst all so called br With their coruscations of angst and ire br Given that it is enough in today’s society to merely light a fire br In the eyes of the beholding and decapitated heads at stake br For they cannot lead a horse to water br Or a sheep away from the fatality of the cliff br But will learn as have all before them br That we must and will eventually find our way br And that all life ends in the same way it begins br With a whimper or a bang it matters not br For there is no other absolute of mankind br Than the genius of being insane… br br br (2007)br br Ted Sheridanbr br
