Alison Mary Dunn - A World Less Ordinary

Alison Mary Dunn - A World Less Ordinary

The meadow draws in deep br Taking me back with its inhale br I walk as if in sleep br And find me at the water’s edge br Still taken by her beauty br br Doves circle high above br Forming messages in the sky br Like the day of your send off br They tell me that to die br Is just the beginning br br I cast a wish into the night br And pray my hopes are heard br As the stars fade out of sight br They fall into the dawn br To bring the moving on of time br br Another party ended br And one more day of life consumed br This tired restless soul in me br Still searching for the endless sun br When I’ll return to my father’s arms br br I recall his depth of knowing br The secrets to life’s meaning br They went with him when he left br Yet I go on believing br Now we stand together in memory br br I love you more than I can put in poems br And often dream we’ll meet again br For this is when I’ll know for sure br That somewhere pure br There is a world less ordinarybr br Alison Mary Dunnbr br
