Dwayne Bailey - Duck Hunting

Dwayne Bailey - Duck Hunting

Pitch black outside, ten below zero, br Man I am freezing cold; br My age is starting to creep up on me, br and boy am I feeling old. br But as the sky starts to lighten, br once black starts to turn blue; br My heart starts to beat a little faster, br my energy and strength are renewed. br Then I see the ducks in the distance, br take off for their morning flight; br I no longer notice the cold, br as I keep the ducks in my sight. br Slowly I start to call, br I see the ducks look my way; br Their checkin out my decoy spread, br and the safety that is displayed. br They circle once, they circle twice, br Then I see them cup their wings; br They are going to try and land, br oh what happiness this brings. br Ten feet or so from the water, br just before they land; br I bring my shotgun to my shoulder, br and steady it with my hands; br I squeeze the trigger slowly, br and let my steel shot fly; br My aim is true, my shot is perfect, br I watch the ducks fall from the sky.
