There was a monkey, br That became quite funky. br It jumped from branch, br With no rest, to branch. br br Stung by a scorpion, br Here and there, with pain, br It hopped and rattled, br And remained not settled. br br A honey-comb, it disturbed br And became too perturbed, br As the honey-bees stung it br O'er its naked body, every bit. br br It drank a pot of toddy, br That drove it unsteady, br Just to forget the pain, br Still, quiet it didn't remain. br br This is the condition, br Of every human brain, br As quiet never it remains br With its wavering thoughts. br br A man riding a horse, br Never lets the rein loose, br Neither allows it too tight, br Nor holds it very light. br br Well controlled by the rein, br Steadily it can also run, br And reach its destination, br Unmindful of the sun or rain.
