Mary Havran - Haunted Poem (Refuses to Index on Site)

Beyond Glass br br Warm and pleasant we shelter br on this side of the glass br Yet just the other side of a window br the dark night holds the past br laden with its memories and separates br we the living from those br familiar ghosts of our past br br Spirits have traveled to the other side br entering realms we can’t fathom br for all though we may try br We know them now only by memory br held fast in our hearts br Through the glass darkly, br nonetheless near present br we may sense their essence br br Ancestral traditions br will burn brightly through the season br Our blending heritages br the girdling gifts of many marriages br Theirs are the true Spirits br stirring our Christmas celebrations br Beholden to and blessed by br all who have passed br Beyond those thin panes br of winter frosted window glassbr br Mary Havranbr br
