Dear Lord in the heavens above br please hear my prayer today. br On the day of the birth of your son Jesus Christ. br Could you guide the men of war br from every religion to take a respite from killing, br let us have one day of the year br when no one will shed the blood of another. br Will you send your millions of angels br to see that this is done, br so that no one will hear the sound of a gun? br Let there be peace everywhere on this earth I pray. br That we may wake up and celebrate Christmas br in the knowledge no one will die. br I also ask that those with good hearts br share what they have br with those who have nothing. br Those with no shelter br may they find somewhere that is warm. br May the love of the many br help take away the sadness br of those who are suffering. br Dear Lord I offer up to you this Christmas prayer br on the Sunday before Christmas day.
