Theresa Ann Moore - Old Christmas Cards

I save old Christmas cards br Each has a beauty with regards br Hidden from sight they fondly stay br It’s such a pity to throw them away br br Jolly Santa bringing toys with reindeers in flight br Presents under a tree with colorful glowing lights br Large holly wreaths accented with bright red bows br Baby Jesus in a manger, wrapped in swaddling clothes br br Yesterday I found a bounty stored in Ziplocs br The sight turned back the hands on the clock br Holiday scenes reminded me of sharing lives br Especially country images by Currier and Ives br br The cards gave greetings from those near and far br Wishing a Merry Christmas from their home to ours br Envelopes were postmarked over a span of many years br Personal messages were attached from those so dear br br Touching my heart with words frozen in time and space br Memories of family laughter brought a smile to my face br Feeling a loving embraced within a warm caring sphere… br Once again, I safely put the cards away for another yearbr br Theresa Ann Moorebr br
