Red is a color of life, br Green and Yellow and also Blue: br Red for life-giving blood br And the rosy flush of cheeks, br Green for the plants br Blanketing the earth, br Yellow for the sunlight br Splashing silently over us, br And Blue for water, br The one thing in this world that br We cannot do without. br Orange is an enthusiastic color, br Animating me to begin something new. br Purple is meditative, while br Indigo (my favorite color, in fact) br Is slightly dark and pessimistic. br Brown is neutral: br The ground is a medium in which br Plants (green) grow with the help of br Water (blue) and br Light (yellow) . br Black is both despairing and warm, br Blinding and frightening unless accepted, br and then as br Comforting and warm as the br Womb in which I was formed.
