William Jackson - Strawberry Blond

William Jackson - Strawberry Blond

Thursday- 2: 10 a.m.- br I still haven’t written anything. br So much for creative expression br in the early hours after midnight. br br I had hoped to write a poem br but instead only pondered br William Blake’s proverb. br “The nakedness of woman, ” br he said, “is the work of God! ” br br And this prompted me br to contemplate you, br my favorite strawberry blond. br br Tell me- br how can I not notice br your playful laughter br and articulate mind, br your delicious mouth, br red lips, freckled cheeks, br and blue eyes? br br Tell me- br how can I not notice br your sleek neck, br delectable shoulders, br exquisite breasts and hips, br your delicate hands, br and electric touch? br br And while I acknowledge br the inappropriateness br of these thoughts, br they will linger br nevertheless! br br All too soon, br the day will begin br and I must dream, br dream of you, br (if only br for a little while) , br dream you br out of my mind, br if I am to think br of anything else br throughout the day.
