Beg not favor br from any who claim heaven br is not here and now. br br br Sky gods have yet to hear, br much less answer, the prayers br of those burned at the stake br during the Spanish Inquisition. br br br Go, instead, to the nearest graveyard. br Go while rain or snow choke the air, br and the sky is small and timid and gray. br br br Pray, eyes downcast, to the god of muck br and earthworms, the god of ragged pants br and shoeless souls. br br br Saturn, god of common sense, br transformer of gold into lead, br of spirit into matter. br br br A god less romantic but br infinitely more pragmatic br than Zeus, Zoroaster, or Vishnu. br br br Saturn, father of earth, child br of the sky, recognizes the most holy br in the most profane. br br br 'As below, so above.
