One summer I taught with a guy fixated on flicks br I mean those 16mm films teachers used br to get away from textbooks br br He said that was one way to motivate students br to pay attention to teachers doing their thing br at the green slate chalkboard br br Show the movie in a darkened classroom br shades down to shut out summer sunlight br and they would learn br br I guess they did learn and so did I; at summer's end br they were all caught up on naptime br and I was bored out of my mind! br br Beware the pedagogue with a new trick br up his wrinkled sleeve!br br Michael Pruchnickibr br
