ANDREW BLAKEMORE - Footprints In The Snow

ANDREW BLAKEMORE - Footprints In The Snow

The fire can't warm my lonely heart br Or stem the pain I feel, br This bleak December afternoon br My wounds shall never heal, br The door is closed a chapter ends br As now the cold winds blow, br The only thing that now remains br Your footprints in the snow. br br The window pane looks out upon br The path that lies ahead, br Where thoughts of all my yesterdays br And dreams now lying dead, br I long the thaw to come again br Shall winter never go? br To melt away the memories and br Your footprints in the snow. br br The laden trees do bear the strain br But I can't do the same, br For as the day now turns to dusk br My soul still filled with shame, br I'll wait for stars above to shine br For darkness cannot show, br The sadness that now lies within br Your footprints in the snow.
