Linda Marie Van Tassell - A Little Angel

Linda Marie Van Tassell - A Little Angel

Far away on a billow br an angel lays down his head br upon a cloud-tufted pillow br with a sky-line for his bed. br br A shroud of star-glow around him br and the moonlight's impending ray. br Misty evening light grows dim br as dusk overtakes the day. br br Sweet love enclosed in his breast br with never a thought of sorrow. br The little angel takes his rest. br Sweet dreams to hail tomorrow. br br Petite roses in his cheeks, br a crimson blush upon his lips; br and though his heart never speaks, br it is shown in morn's eclipse. br br I love my little angel, mine. br He is such a beautiful sight br drifting on high beyond the brine, br free of the bounds of night. br br Little angel with dove-white wings br sends a tender kiss to me. br A choir of heaven's angels sings - br a song that sets me free. br br I cannot see his gold-lit curls - br his pathway of love and light br sending love to all little girls br that have wept within the night.
