M.D DINESH NAIR - PERCEPTIONS

Burning flowers, running water, br A chirping bird, a sweet breeze, br Rustling trees, smiling school kids, br A sun rise, a charming eve and an unknown nostalgia - br You deem the world to be a perfect one br And eulogise the life therein. br br Images not so kind flash across the mind br And the green planet turns turtle. br br Plastic butterflies, dying rivers, br Homeless winged beauties, an Andrew, br A wildfire, hungry and forsaken children, br A melting glacier, an eve in adam`s guise and a known dejection - br I turn pensive and strike off your lines br And you begin to call me a pessimist. br br Poetry unusual and unseen written ever remain unread br And the odd planet just revolves on the orbit. br br Perceptions young become old, br Regrets intimated kill the wrongs, br And the magic of a fascination drives life forward. br Somewhere in the inner chambers of the mind br A parasite lives and triumphs br Over those days of captivity in Mother`s womb. br br There floats a cloud promising a shower br But the gusts of the close future roar....br br M.
