Mary Havran - . Before All Fades to Gray

Mary Havran - . Before All Fades to Gray

On late winter afternoons br Before it all fades to gray br Distractions blur mind’s focus br Engendering thoughts to stray br br A dark crow perched on a limb br The gray squirrel on the fence br Rely instinct will reveal br Their ordained paths leading hence br br No parallel guide exists br For humankind to resource br While sufficient light remains br To secure my future course br br Thoughts percolate inside br What purpose or intent br Will providence provide br Before daylight is spent br br Heart voices gentle say br Spirit lends light to way br Yet qualms suffuse each day br Before all fades to graybr br Mary Havranbr br
