This mind is full of sounds… br like Shakespeare’s island; though br no mind is like an island… br br where are all those sounds stored, br indexed, waiting tidy on their shelves? br br Only when a sound returns br do you realise that it’s been missing.. br hasn’t deprivation always been br the Creator’s pointed message to us? br br just now, sitting with a teacup, br after a ‘testing’ week… br a gentle, sweet and reasonable br woman’s mother voice returns br to mind's uncatalogued fine inner ear; br reminds me it’s been absent for awhile.. br br and the world that seemed so alien last week br surrounds me with its mellow sound of care.
