I'm standing at the start of this path br that I've never travelled; br A path I was supposed to take when I was younger br but only now have managed to arrive at. br br I'm trembling with fear br because I don't know what's ahead; br My glass cage, though confining br has long been my familiarity. br br Will I make it to the end br and break out of this Eternal Winter, br or will I stumble off course br and fall back into the dark waters of misery? br br Am I strong enough to let go of my past; br let go of the Demons' hands with whom I've danced with for so long, br or will I succumb to their manipulating voices br and allow darkness to stay in my bones? br br Can I overcome myself and my pain br my raining skies and blackened memories br and free the light of my soul br who has been enslaved to my devils all this time? br br With a deep breath and emotions churning br I take the first step and look ahead... br The woman I should have been is waiting for me, br I have to try and make it to her. br br Will I succeed, br or will I fail? br br The time has come br to find out.
