ANDREW BLAKEMORE - When Blossom Drapes The Orchard Boughs

When blossom drapes the orchard boughs br Like freshly fallen snow, br When sleeping lands begin to rouse br And slowly start to grow, br When daffodils do grace the way br And shine like burning gold, br It is indeed a fine display br When springtime does unfold. br br When bluebells light the woodland floor br No better place to be, br Than when that ocean sweeps before br In all its majesty, br And when the hawthorn's dressed in white br And borders every field, br It fills my heart with such delight br To see it thus revealed. br br When daisies in the meadow rise br And open in the sun, br And swallows swarm the April skies br I know that spring's begun, br And when the birds shall sweetly sing br From every branch and tree, br Each joyful note that they will bring br Shall mean so much to me. br br When blossom drapes the orchard boughs br Like freshly fallen snow, br When sleeping lands begin to rouse br And slowly start to grow, br When winter's cold is at an end br And browns then turn to green, br Those precious gifts the spring shall send br The greatest ever seen.
