ANDREW BLAKEMORE - And Angel Wings Shall Beat No More

For when two hearts do fall in love br The sun will shine in skies above, br When flowers bloom and colours glow br And crystal streams will gently flow. br The birds shall sing from every tree br Their songs will sail so gracefully, br The sweetest sound to lovers ears br And bring the joy to dry all tears. br br In every hill and every field br The beauty that their sight shall yield, br A breathless breeze so soft shall kiss br The lover's lips with tender bliss, br And then caress the blossomed air br Their lives together they will share, br Each day shall be so warm and still br When angels fly it is God's will. br br But when two hearts do break in two br And sun shall set with autumn's hue, br The flowers then shall wilt and die br And crystal streams will all run dry, br No longer will the birds then sing br And only sadness they will bring, br For silence then shall fill the air br And tears shall well of deep despair. br br The beauty of each hill and field br Shall then no longer be revealed, br As cold winds blow and not abate br On lips of scorn so full of hate, br The blossom gone and leaves lie dead br When torn apart the lives they led, br The storms will rage and rains will pour br And angel wings shall beat no more.
