Harry J. Couchon Jr - A Parent's Nightmare

Harry J. Couchon Jr - A Parent's Nightmare

Of all life's pains, there's nothing worse br Than seeing one's child carried away in a hearse br All the time crying, asking God why br Why Dear God did she have to die? br br You tried to teach her how to live br But something you did she couldn't forgive br Rebelling and causing you grief br Now she's dead, it's beyond belief br br She grew up way too fast it seems br Here one day, the next following her dreams br Day after day, wishing she would return br But she had so much to do br So much to learn br br Midnight phone calls fill you with dread br That there was an accident br And now she's dead br Then one night, that call does come br After crying for days, you become sullen and numb br br At the funeral there wasn't a single dry eye br Tears are the saddest way to say goodbye br But for death, they have to do br There's such pain in my heart missing you br br As time passes the pain never will br Live to be one hundred and missing her still br My daughter, my angel, death took you away br But in my heart and memories br You live every daybr br Harry J.
