Alfred Ramos - A Mother's Love

Alfred Ramos - A Mother's Love

I held her hand as tight as I could br Even though I knew it would not do much good br Her breath was shallow and weak br If only my eyes could speak br She would see I felt just as much pain br And the tears I’m trying to contain br I don’t want her to know br I’m having a real problem letting her go br That a piece of me was dying too br As another side of darkness was slipping through br Her pulse was dull, her color was lead br Her skin was clammy, as I wiped perspiration off her head br You could find adoration seeping through her pores br For a mother’s love opens many doors br An aura of unconditional love radiates from her face br A grimace meant as a smile instead is in its place br As she seeks her last moments of serenity br A strength transcends from which I have no identity br There is a hidden beauty in her silent breathing br From a mother’s love flows a river of believing br From the womb to the tomb br A mother’s love will make every flower bloom br Nurture the air around her with her perfume br With enough love for everyone to consume br And so in the last of the dying light br She bids me one last good night br I love you Mombr br Alfred Ramosbr br
