THE POETIC SKY br br As our world gently rotates, the complexion br of the blue sky begins to change, br As clouds ceaselessly form and unite, only to br dissipate! br The sunset sky blushes, and even dissolves br as refreshing rain! br But with the birth of each new day, br The sky always presents a clean blue slate! br For the poet to etch out his thoughts and br lines, br While the timeless blue sky forever displays, br it's cerulean blue state! br br Like the changing sky the poet's thoughts and br words also rearrange; br In our evanescent life of continued flux, flow, br and change! br The crimson rays of the setting sun enters the br poet's veins, br And flows down to his heart and there to remain! br His heart is sensitive and he feels other's hurt, br Those flowers at dawn knowingly nods, and even br speak to his trusting heart! br The poet begins to write with the glow of starlight br showers, - br And those borrowed colours from the myriad br shades of flowers! br And he is blessed by the sky which yields and br melts in sympathy; br Flowing through his pen in limpid blue br transparency! br While he sincerely hopes that this boundless br and boarderless sky, br Which envelopes our entire humanity in a spirit br of sympathy, br Shall remain there forever as the all-embracing br Sky of Poetry! br br -Raj Nandy br New Delhi br 22 May 08 br br br br br br br br RAJ NANDYbr br
