Life has become an empty cage, br Around which I chase my own tail, br A cage full of loneliness, br Unhappiness, and rage! br br So Donall said, br 'Treat yourself... br As a Lover would... br Such good advice, br And I know I should! br br You know, take a long hot bath, br And wear new perfume, br To match the new dress, br And shoes, and purse br I bought for myself... br br And lest I forget, br For I don't regret, br At all, the new Diamond Ring! ! br Makes my heart sing. br br So, now that I am all dressed, br And smelling good, br As a woman should, br Where will I go? br To a Movie Show? br br Or a concert, br Where no one is alone, br Save myself? ? ? br Yeah, right! br I just know br I would enjoy the show! br br Or should I go to a dance, br And sit, back to the wall br Being able to dance br With no man at all? br br Well, guess I will stay right here, br Never mind the tears, br And watch some sorry TV, br And have an ice cream, br Alone again. br br Scarlett Treat br May 21,2008 br br Here's a secret note to all readers - I do go to concerts, art shows, movies, whatever I like - - and my TV is broken! !
