Rani Turton - My Heart, Trembling Like a Leaf

Rani Turton - My Heart, Trembling Like a Leaf

My heart, trembling like a leaf in the first breeze before the storm br As clouds clash high above br Trembles and shivers in the deepest pain br This then is what is called love br br My heart, trembling like a leaf in the scorching sun br Almost dried, almost died br My heart was after all, just a heart br Like others that sighed and cried br br My heart, trembling like a leaf under the light of the moon br As nightbirds alighted on branches br Shuddered, as though underneath it saw br A cavalry that onward marches br br My heart, trembling like a leaf before a storm br Almost, almost stopped still br All those fanciful theories of being and existing br Couldn’t then this heart fulfill. br br There was a leaf that fluttered in the storm br It silently waited for it’s dreams to take form.
