Oh how I love those country fields br That are rich with wheat and such br Waving freely in the air br With a wonderful farming touch br br Green corn fields ripe and lovely br Tall stocks with leaves so wide br Driving down those country roads br Sometimes I have to stop ‘long side br br Roll down the windows and take a sniff br Smell that refreshing country air br Get out of the city, folks when you can br Wipes out all worries and cares br br Perhaps you’ll see other vegetation br A bit of Prickly Pear cactus as well br Scraps of cotton from the patch br Depending on where you dwell br br It’s a lifestyle I’m well aware of br That I always love to see br Farms, cows and horses blend in br With wheat, corn and country!br br Marilyn Lottbr br
