I prayed myself atrophy, br as golden as could be, br so Vivian and Sophie, br on PH poetry br could [g]ape at gilt reflection br praise find for rhyme ahead, br ignoring recollection br mind's guilt ridden instead. br br Winged trophy I would merit, br make Pegasus so proud, br hear nightingale and ferret br recite my rants aloud. br Alas, verse earns no pennies, br points can't be traded in br for sense, cents, spinning Jennies, br lest stanzas' stall begin... br br I'll seek through silver second br sweet consolation prize, br feat which at least is reckoned br worth more than Styxs hiss sighs. br Perhaps Judge tender-hearted br shall honour my request br if not, I'd best get started br on bronze song jest inquest br br Ingesting judgements hasty br my tasty morsels may br sell more than punning pastry, br internal interplay br perhaps bright bronze write earns me, br if not I'll add, ahem! br my Muse, pray never spurn me, br bestowing just H.M.! br br [c] Jonathan Robin - Parody Sheldon Silverstein Snowball written 7 June 2008 br br br br Snowball br br I made myself a snowball, br As perfect as could be. br I thought I'd keep it as a pet br And let it sleep with me. br I made it some pajamas br And a pillow for it's head. br Then last night it ran away, br But first, it wet the bed.
