I am not proud I am Irish that's just my Nationality br I have never waved an Irish flag that does not appeal to me br I am anti Patriotism and Nationalism of that why should I lie br And that's the way I will remain until the day I die br Of their Nationalism and Patriotism some feel the need to brag br But far too many have died in wars for the colour of their Nation's flag br On the neighbours flagpost in their front yard their National flag it is blowing in the breeze br If this is a boost to their egos they must not be that hard to please br Suppose they are trying for to tell us that they support the distant war br Against people that we made our enemies in a Country from our Nation far br But we all need something for to stand for and we all look at things differently br And what many does see as a good thing may not seem a good thing to me br I am not proud that I am Irish of my Birthland that seems strange to say br But in my heart I do love Ireland my Homeland from here far away.
