Francis Duggan - A Beautiful Evening

Francis Duggan - A Beautiful Evening

A Beautiful evening in March in the early Fall br The magpies are fluting the corellas call br And the red wattlebirds on the blossoming trees br Their loud cacklings carrying in the freshening breeze. br br And a voice that's familiar all day until dark br The mudlark sings pee wee in the old town park br And brown leaves on the path off of the deciduous trees br Are blowing to and fro in the freshening breeze. br br A Beautiful end to a perfect March day br In the children's playground children laugh and play br And the little house sparrows in feathers of brown br Chirp on the hedgerow in the park of the town. br br A beautiful evening the birds chirp and sing br The wonders of Nature is a magical thing br The sun going down red in the western sky br And the roost bound starlings wheel and turn as they fly.
