Mark Eyre - Slippery Slope

Mark Eyre - Slippery Slope

And so we let the games begin br Before the tears and the tides come in br I let her drive br She's good to go br Of our outings br Nobody needs to know br br This morning I regret the day br I let the rain wash guilt away br But back for more, I run to her br Sparkling skin and expensive fur br br I walk through town and meet with friends br I drink away the fear of ends br A break may rise only a false hope br I am walking down this slippery slope br br Meanings come and then they fail br To wisp the breeze of loving sails br The breeze has stopped br We move no more br We're in our ocean br Our hearts are sore br br Receive advice then turn away br The knot I tied has become fray br If only I could wash away br The dirty coat I wear today br br I walk through town but friends are gone br I drink alone til half past one br My life needs not a wider scope br I tripped and slipped, this slippery slope!br br Mark Eyrebr br
