Jean Mallette - The Railroad Ride To Heaven

Jean Mallette - The Railroad Ride To Heaven

My model railroad stretched about br Through every room and floor. br I strived to make the whole layout br Look better than before. br br The scenery was precisely placed- br Each tree a work of art. br With dilligence the task I faced- br An expression of my heart. br br Then all at once the engine roared; br The time at last was near, br And as it stalled I climbed aboard br And rolled away from here. br br My mother wept to see I'd gone; br She couldnot understand br Why God was pleased to bear me Home br Aboard His gentle hand. br br Alas, my Mother, I'll return br With Christ one shining day. br My Engineer is wise I've learned; br His eyes see every way. br br He knows what lurks around each bend; br What obstacle; what snare. br He is my Savior and my Friend. br I know He truly cares. br br We'll come again to take you back. br You'll ride up front with me. br We'll glide along God's railroad track br For all Eternity.
