I have found myself in a battle, br deep within my mind; br A battle of good and evil, br one thats ruthless against one so kind. br br I want to do the things I should, br the things I know to be right; br But when I try to do these things, br in my mind there is a fight. br br The battle is often brutal, br my heart is battered and sore; br My mind is going in circles, br like that of a revolving door. br br I find it is hard to stay focused, br on the tasks that lie at hand; br Instead I tend to just watch the clock, br like I'm watching the hour glass sand. br br I pray that I may find some peace, br deep in my heart and soul; br I pray the lord will give me strength, br and some how keep me whole. br br For I feel like I'm being torn to pieces, br and my body is falling apart; br I pray the Lord will keep me safe, br Mind, Spirit, and Heart.
