Fay Slimm - Kindred Spirits?

Fay Slimm - Kindred Spirits?

Looking around at earth's varisome face br We often feel lost in the masses of souls br Who surround us with life which appears wholely br To differ, from race to indifferent race, br All seeming seperate, by culture and faith. br Yet when music or laughter lightens the heart br A medium is found of which we are part, br And which nothing on earth can displace. br br Through looking deeper at what can combine br To produce kindred sense amongst all, br We would do well simple facts to recall br And forego any thoughts of 'yours' or 'mine' br We all belong to what's called humankind. br We have in common red blood in our veins. br Birthed by earth's mothers with strong labour pains. br What closer kindred could ever we find? br br Filled with the spirit of dynamic life br Earth's populace breathes the same vital air. br Together we grieve when life's no longer there. br The loss is communally felt after strife. br Yet so is rejoicing, which is re-gained br When laughter and music cut through our dark br Misunderstandings - then friendships will spark. br With spirits thus kindled love can be unchained.
