Alfred Ramos - Love Doesn’t Live Here Anymore

Love doesn’t live here anymore br It walked out and slammed the door br It packed it memories and faded photographs br It took its dreams, it took its laughs br A vacuum sucked out every passion br Leaving a stale fragrance out of fashion br Love has lost my home address br A saddened frown left to pick up the mess br Pain a daily companion to which I must confess br Every obstacle a mountain I must impress br Our companionship no longer entwined br Face value and insanity combined br Love doesn’t live here anymore br I’ve been this way before br I know there is going to be some pain br And bitter tears will flow like rain br It took all that was good br Did more damage than it should br Your picture doesn’t hang on my wall br How it disappeared I can’t recall br It must have fallen when you slammed the door br And shattered all my dreams forever more br All the bridges were burned from here to there br Left no trail, just suffering and despair br Love doesn’t live here anymore br No more treats from the candy store br The desire went out with the trash br Leaving a deeper than deep moral gash br Now tears fall from the sky br Filling up an ocean with each sigh br The mirror in the bathroom is cracked br We never saw the life lines that we lacked br We didn’t bother to pick up the pieces br Or the bitterness and harm that it releases br So I’ll just sadly lock the door br Because love doesn’t live here anymorebr br Alfred Ramosbr br
