It was or it is a bad dream br I was very innocent br Beautiful and exquisite br Before I drank the liquor of common life br I was so special br So gifted, blissful, pure and blessed br It was an endless ocean of paranormal souls br Around my continuously changing skins br Red Turkish carpet br Pining to touch the sole of my intangible feet br Little girls of unknown ethnicities br Holding bouquets of red roses and oriental lilies br Louis Armstrong playing his flashy trumpet br For hours in my homage br O’ I was so special once br br br Today br I’m a commoner br Living a common life br Lying, stealing and two-timing br Knowingly turning obscured reality into a glittery mirage br Willfully embracing the slaps of cruel Time br Alluringly writing meaningless poems br On the gorgeous-white skins of colored whores br Brutally beaten yet walking swift br Through the carpeted roads of modern cities br And proudly pronouncing that br I am a common man of this uncommon world br br br So pure was that span br When I was nothing br So filthy is this time br When I am something br Yesterday br I was nothing but special br Today br I am something but a commoner br br br br Sep 25,2008br br Dr Kamran Haider Bukharibr br
