Bonnie Collins - The Lonely Marigold

Glancing up at a beutifull balmy br fall's day with the distant mountiains br covered with hues of autum's breath br br Crisp chill was in the air br that stood evedence clearly br of the frost that has knocked on br the door of so many plants that br lie in thier death, with deadly brown br leaves on the branches and leaves br slowly wilting, slightly as the sun br approached as if to warm gently br to its child, stood, a single lonely br marigold that seemed to withold br the nights passing freeze... br br Alone but stood with so much beauty br as if to let her plant know, as long as br she is alive it will protect her buds br from the freeze of yet another night br br Blooming with wonder filled with br purity as its white beauty stood br so prowdly, she was trying with br dignity to say goodby to her br summer visitors, sadly, as I pondered br at its magnifiing glory, wondering br how many people noticed the br lonlely marigold......
