It’s a hot and lazy time of year br With temperatures rising high br A body doesn’t want to work br Doesn’t even want to try br br It’s time to lie around and rest br Not exert much energy br It’s too hot to work but rather br We want to take it pretty easy br br And if you do have to work br Either do it early in the morn br Or after the sun goes down br Sometime before the dawn br br Oh how nice it feels br On these dog days of summer br When the sun drops down br The day has turned a bit cooler br br So in the midst of winter time br When snow is on the hills br Dog days of summer sound br Kind of good amongst the chills!br br Marilyn Lottbr br
