Leo Yankevich - Grass

Leo Yankevich - Grass

Before they built this mall and palace br I flourished longer than the clouds br remember; but it wasn’t malice br caused me to be replaced by crowds. br br I rise again in clear defiance, br wait till the ordinance rescinds, br spread into the cracks of silence, br blind seed scattered by the winds. br br I hold out till the end of malls, br rise when the shopper ties his laces, br wait till the palace busts and falls. br Then I will cover names and faces.
