David Taylor - Sleeping, Dreaming, Waking

The crimson sun and golden leafs br sparkle on a gentle thoughtful breeze; br a pale moon shines in the east br as your lipsticked evening smile br falls beyond the horizon of my dream. br br In my night your moon is bright br attended by a million stars; br that moon is near and stars so far br I feel so small as I watch them all br alone in the silence before the dawn. br br And in the east a ray of hope br a shaft of light dispelling night; br as a wisp of your golden hair br resting on my pillow of tears. br You had not gone you still lie here br and your light had lit my dreams.
