Frank Witte - June

Frank Witte - June

July left desolation, br modes of transfiguration, br skin to metal parts. br Abandonned knight in armor, br he stood silently waiting, br just on his guard. br t'was valour without honour: br his hands carefully weighing br his broken heart. br br August heat came and passed br stirring a renewed craving br for love left scarred. br Alpine mountain views and fast br cool crystal water, life saving, br rejoined love's shards. br But bolts and iron body cask br bitter battle flags waving br kept his mind barred. br br September sent winds of Fall, br an indian summer raining, br washed th' pain away br Mist and the early birds' call br gloves and metal joints straining br wore new words to say. br Life force avoiding to stall, br Imagination painting, br what hope for love may. br br October brought first relief, br a freedom most disarming, br helmet taken off. br Away the chainmail of grief, br towards a future charming br by a road still rough. br Mindfull of harmless mischief, br but a heart heeding warning br of misreading love. br br Now at last November came br From coma awakened flame br burning brighter ev'ry noon. br A knight undressed without shame br asserting on a life a claim br and... awaiting June.
