ANJALI SINHA - *** THANATOS-A DEATH WISH ***

Moth was asked br by a smiling flame, br “You” ready to play br the alluring game. br A game of death, br cessation of breath. br , br Moth replied fearlessly: br Oh! Dame, br that's the purpose br we are born for, br To die through you, br and reach heavenly shore. br That’s why we grow, br oh! my flickering flame, br That’s why we thrive br oh! my dancing dame, br To die like a gladiator, br in your glorious game. br , br Receive posthumous heavenly acclaims. br We are, br born with THANATOS –A death wish, br To burn in your blazing bosom –A sea of bliss, br To revel in a fiery grotto br of our enticing miss br To hanker, br for your dangerous serpent hiss, br To leap daringly, br in your dark but alluring abyss, br And receive, br your deadly lethal parting kiss. br br We come in masses; br To turned in to ashes br But will rise again like a phoenix br To chase one more flame or deadly minx. br br ANJALI SINHA br br 26-11-2008, br br (As there are a lot of poems here with this theme of moth and the flame br here's my version. Hope you all will like it.
