ANDREW BLAKEMORE - The Malvern Hills

ANDREW BLAKEMORE - The Malvern Hills

So far in the distance br Their peaks can be seen, br And lit by the sunlight br Familiar they lie, br Their image and beauty br Their shape and their form, br So blissful and peaceful br They reach to the sky. br br Upon the horizon br And shrouded in haze, br The hills rise above br All this wonderful land, br The fields and the meadows br The hedgerows and trees, br The picturesque Malvans br Majestically stand. br br Such treasure they hold br As their splendour does rise, br In crimson they shine br On this warm summer's day, br And resting upon br All their glory and might, br The shadows of clouds br Slowly moving away. br br So far in the distance br The marvellous view, br Carry me forth br And the stories they tell, br To find inspiration br In music and words, br A place in my heart br That forever will dwell.
