Josephine J.W - The Station

Josephine J.W - The Station

Wandering aimlessly at the misty station br Lugging a velvet heart-shaped case br Listening numbly to the conductor's whistle br Trudging past endless grey with dreary pace br Clutching in your palm a wrinkled ticket br And grasping in the other a padded handle br You glance down at your beating heart br And continue on in your doleful ramble. br br Feet thudding against the stony pavement br You hesitate when time comes to board br The train pulls out in a flurry of elation br You clutch the velvet case you hoard br And as you stand alone the fog creeps slowly br Wrapping you in a comfortless blanket of gray br You drag on the one thing that remains alive br And trudge on lifeless through your world of clay.br br Josephine J.
