Lonnie Hicks - Misanthrope

Lonnie Hicks - Misanthrope

I hand myself these challenges br and if I win br I preen; br br I hand myself these challenges br and if I lose br knowledge and experience I guess I gain; br br I hand myself still greater challenges br and hope they don't br ending up educating me to death. br br Surviving then br the worst of these, br if lucky, br I could be crippled for life br but end up very very wise. br br You know actually br I'd rather skip br the educated, crippled and possibly dead part br and perhaps too br skip the my birth itself br and go straight to heaven in one piece br one day and still healthy, br br where God and and I would discuss br the Joys and the Dreads of Earthly Life br in the presence of the angels br and delightful cherubic lads. br br Thereby I would gain immortality br and never ever br have to get dead. br br Humm.. br All in all br I think br this idea is best in many ways. br br But if you are reading this br you are already alive br the both of us having made our first mistake; br br that of having been born br and probably depending on age br very very very wise. br br Womb Returns and Pilgrimages br are clearly out of the question br and therefore I will have to br stop complaining br and make the best br of life here on earth; br weary simile on my face br and reconciled br to the wise joys br of this Earthly br Grand In-Between.
