The mirror and I have this relationship br complicated as can be; br sometimes my shadow it is br non-consequential. br But other times I gaze br for minutes on end br to see which me br lives there br gazing back at me. br br Sometimes I wince br touching the tiny scratches br to see br if they are in the mirror br or in my skin. br br I've looked naked into it br turning slowly br front back br and sideways br using my critical eye; br not so bad here br gravity winning there. br br I have this relationship br with my mirror br complicated it seems. br br But it lights up times br when I suddenly br feel your arm br at my shoulder's edge; br br when your light br shines in my mirror's eye. br br I want to keep you there br for this br and many years. br br I have had this complicated relationship br with my mirror br uncomplicated br by you and all these br many years.
