Passing birds tilt an eye br As though aware. Furry travellers speed, br But halt to hear silent melody. Stoat, br Vole and Otter detect symphony. Why br Then can't we turn an ear, listen carefully br To rivers, streaming the smiles and past sighs br Of yester-year folk, - - and learn if we dare.
