Linda Winchell - 'Those Important Things'

Linda Winchell - 'Those Important Things'

I marched with, ' Martin Luther King Jr.' br When that wasn't really considered too cool. br For a white gal in her twenties alone, blonde hair, blue eyes br Standing out in a crowd, some shouting calling her a fool. br br I cried when Martin was assassinated br And mourned the death of our President, 'J.F.Kennedy.' br They were a very important part of history br The history that maybe formed a little part of you and me. br br I was in awe at the devastation of, 'Mt. Saint Hellen' br And felt the pain of those lost on the United States, 'Challenger.' br Then New York's nine eleven, 'Twin Tower', disaster br Those most important parts of history br Which now some feel a twinge of pending attacking fear. br br Bad times and all the good times br Form the human parts of our personal history. br They take us back to a time and place br Maybe some which made a part of you and me. br br Those important things in life for me br Are the memories of histories burn. br Some at the loss and of anothers pain br Of our Histories lessons now I've learned.
