Laurie hill - We'll Meet Again

Laurie hill - We'll Meet Again

I stand in silence, head bowed down in sorrow. br Cold winds sigh laments unto the sky. br I kneel and touch the mound of earth so frozen, br A pain, a sob for you, I start to cry. br br Upon your grave my tears are gently falling, br A prayer is answered by an echoing sigh. br Of the winds, blowing gently through the treetops, br Above this place of peace, where you lie. br I read again, your name engraved in marble, br At your side a winter flower shows through the snow, br As white as angels wings in the moonlight, br Ruffled by the evening breeze that softly blows. br br Your name I whisper softly in the silence, br I can't forget, though I know that others do, br For you were the only one I cared for, br And one day soon I know, I'll be with you. br br When my days on earth are surely ending, br When my eyes show not the faintest fear. br Those standing round will see that I am happy, br For I'm going to the one, that I held dear.
